Wendy Mathews on MAX 1073- Extended Interview

The Rotary on Manning have outdone themselves this time! Appearing at Taree’s Riverstage on Friday, November 19th is one of Australia’s finest female voices.

Wendy Mathews is a Canadian-born Australian singer-songwriter who has been a member of Models and Absent Friends, and is an accomplished  solo artist, scoring a string of top 20 hit singles in the 1990s including “Let’s Kiss Like The Angels Do”, “Token Angels” , and “Friday’s Child”.

She has won six Aria awards, and her hit “The Day You Went Away” was the biggest selling single in Australia in 1992.

Ahead of her visit to Taree, Jayce spoke to Wendy about her hits, her great collaborations, and he had to ask what Cher was REALLY like!
